Description

White against the blue-green sea stands the elegant castle of Miramare, the retreat of Ferdinand Maximilian. The scene is taken from the small battery of cannons, which last fired when the prince ent to his last mission in Mexico.
Almost the marine counterpart of Neuschwanstein, in its white beauty it is iconic of Trieste.
The sea is clean and crystal clear, blue green since it is a protected wildlife park.

The image is taken with a historic folding camera Zeiss Ikonta with Tessar 8xm/2.8 on real black-and-white film (Ilford FP4), so film effect and grain is intentional and real.
