Una meraviglia. Wonderful!

Riccardo Mottola replied:

Thank you a lot, Lucia! Flying sometimes reserves unique views and film photography captures them.

Artist's Description

Aerial view of the Passo San Marco (Saint Marks Pass) which connects Valtellina and Val Brembana. During the winter, the pass is snow-covered being 2000 (6500ft) high and the mountains around much higher. On a winter flight, looking soutwards the evening sky plays wonderful pink and reddish colors and the snow looks almost bluish

About Riccardo Mottola

Riccardo Mottola

I am interested in photography, mainly traditional photography. I use film and manual cameras since I was 8 years old. My father photographs, my grand-father was a photographer and taught me the essentials of shooting and processing, my great-grandfather took pictures and I am proud to have and use his cameras. Today, in certain occasions, I side classic cameras with digital cameras, albeit I strictly use them without manipulation. Especially for aerial photography digital is an useful companion. I mark images strictly with the medium they were taken in. Black-and-white images are shot on film, developed by me and either scanned or printed by me.
